South Florida Museum — Part 1
Patricia Sacks
When Tish Sacks joined the South Florida Museum, it was almost like a homecoming — her mother had been the science curator at the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey, a museum about the size of SFM where her mom started an astronomy club, and she spent many happy hours there as a youngster.
After getting her bachelor’s degree in zoology and master’s degree in teaching, she worked as a high school teacher, then worked in finance before joining Seaworld as a member of their education department. After eight years there, she joined us at the Museum. She spends her free time renovating the home she and her husband own, growing herbs and orchids and reading. Her favorite travels involved national parks, museums and nature centers.
