Lynne Partington
Lynne Partington, Vice President for Programs of the Sarasota World Affairs Council graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master’s Degree in International Relations in Strategic Studies from Boston University. She was a relief worker for the International Rescue Committee in Croatia from 1992-1994, was Executive Director of Freedom House, one of only two 24 refugee shelters on the northern border in the United States. Before moving to Florida, she was an adjunct professor at Wayne State University in Detroit and Vice President of the Detroit World Affairs Council. She lived and worked in Europe for 15 years in Germany, France, and Croatia.
