Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College (OLLI)

Janna Overstreet

Janna Overstreet serves as the Executive Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College. She has been deeply involved in continuing education for mature learners since 1997. In 2008, she became founding director of the Academy of Lifetime Learning at Eastern Illinois University. Janna became the Executive Director of the Lifelong Learning Academy (LLA) in Sarasota in 2012 which merged with Ringling College of Art and Design in June of 2016 and with Pierian Spring Academy in 2017.

Then, in February of 2018 the Bernard Osher Foundation presented the program with a prestigious award and they became the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Ringling College; 1 of only 121 OLLI programs nationwide.
Janna was born and raised in Central Illinois where she resided until moving to Sarasota. Janna has two grown children, Emmalee and Oliver.

After 20 years of teaching Psychology for both Eastern Illinois University and Lake Land College, Janna retired in 2017. During her newly found free time she enjoys junking, thrifting, dinner with friends, reading, being by the water, and learning how to flower garden in Florida.
