Angelina (Angel) M. Colonneso
Angelina (Angel) M. Colonneso is a lifelong resident of Manatee County, Florida. She graduated from Manatee High School in 1986. While she was in High School and college, she worked for Beall’s Department Store and received the Robert M. Beall Trust Fund Scholarship. Angel earned her Associate of Arts degree from Manatee Community College in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 1991. She received her Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 2000.
Angel began her career with the Manatee Clerk’s Office in 1990 before attending law school and later served as General Counsel to R.B. “Chips” Shore, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Director of Public Access. After law school, Angel served as an Assistant State Attorney for 11 years under State Attorney Earl Moreland prosecuting numerous crimes including gang violence and homicides. She has over 25 years of public service experience in Manatee County.
Angel has been a member of the Manatee County Bar Association since 2000, having served as both a Director and an Officer. She is a member of the Manatee Memorial Hospital Women’s Action Committee, Bradenton Kiwanis Club, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, she is a Mentor in the Take Stock in Children Program and a graduate of Leadership Manatee.
