Introducing our “Cow Hunters” exhibit! Enjoy our new exhibit, artwork, and more. The exhibit will showcase cow hunting in Manatee County and Florida’s involvement in the cattle industry. The exhibit will also feature the artwork of Jerri Phillips titled “The Art & History of the Florida Cracker Trail.” Phillips is a local artist known for her Florida Cracker paintings including scenes of cattle, horses, cow hunters, buildings, and landscapes. The exhibit will be located on the second floor of the Wiggins Store (our wheelchair lift is in working order!).

Light refreshments will be available outside and other activities will take place throughout the site including a cow hunter game designed for children and information on the Florida Cracker Trail Ride. While on the museum grounds, explore landmarks like our “Old Cabbage Head” locomotive and the Junior Junction playground.

The opening reception will take place Monday, March 2, 2020, at 6:00 pm.

The museum and grounds will close at 7:00 pm. Free to attend! Kid & family-friendly.
