Friday, August 13, 2021

Diego Rivera (1886-1957) was a prominent Mexican painter and husband of Frida Kahlo(1929–39 and 1940–54). His large frescos helped establish the Mexican Mural Movement. Between 1922 and 1953, Rivera painted large frescos in Mexico City, Chapingo, Cuernavaca, San Francisco, Detroit, and New York City. This presentation will focus primarily on the artist’s early works.
