TED Talks started in 1984 to promote discussion of current topics using 18-minute video essays. Now they have blossomed into a phenomenon that has everyone talking – and thinking! The original idea was that after watching a TED Talks, a person’s first inclination would be the desire to discuss the topic with friends. In this course, we will view a variety of TED Talks and share in some lively discussion with fellow students. As a class, we will decide which TED Talks we’d most like to watch.
