Online or internet marketing is the new way companies and individuals attract customers and clients to their business, product, or service. It’s a new way of promoting a business, and it uses a variety of online methods including video, email, SEO (search engine optimization), blogging, social media, and other forms of advertising, both paid and free. Internet/online marketing is a form of “inbound” marketing. That is, the goal is to attract and gain new customers and clients through systems of two-way communication, providing value and offering not only a product or service, but interacting with potential clients and customers through engaging online content. This course will cover those basics and more: Creating powerful, attention-getting content (for blogs, websites, videos, etc.), building an email list to connect with clients (and potential customers) through email, and crafting sales and marketing messages that avoid high-pressure, old-school sales tactics.
